Hi, I’m joshua Baxter

I’m a Chemical Engineer / Energy Systems Engineer with a passion for Clean Energy, Battery Chemistry, and Climate Solutions.

About me

Currently at Imperial Sustainable Energy Futures - learning the engineering, economic, and environmental principles of the energy transition

I am a chemical engineer with a passion for creating engineering solutions for the energy transition and climate change. In my Bachelor’s degree, I designed a novel, sustainable concrete with higher strength metrics than traditional concrete for my capstone project, working with an engineering R&D company.

Currently in my Master’s, I’m exploring MXenes as sodium-ion battery anodes, pushing the boundary of SIB knowledge towards future scale up and cheaper, more abundant alternatives to lithium-ion.

projects

MXene Sodium-Ion Batteries, concept to full-cell design and testing
